See below. : Athletes foot is a fungal infection caused by excessive moisture, warmth and lack of exposure to air. Gout is a systemic disease that causes uric acid crystals to deposit in a joint causing severe pain and inflammation.

Several: Gout is caused by an increase in uric acid and causes pain in the joints. Athletes foot is a fungal infection that spreads thru out the skin.
