Uric Acid: It is a build up of uric acid in the joint space, to the point that it crystallizes. It damages the joint space cartilage, and causes arthritis.

Mosty in great toe: Gout is condition were uric acid crystals are deposited in joint space and causes severe pain. Most commonly involves great toe, but can involve other joints in the body like ankle , knee wrist, elbow etc.
