Got diagnosed with gout 3 mo ago. 1 flare up at the time of diagnosis then 1 about 2 months later both on different sides of my left foot. i got prednisone in case it happens again. should i take if feeling possible flare or when flare does happen?

Yes, use rescue med: You were given rescue meds for this development, so,use them to limit the discomfort. Be sure you are doing what you can to,prevent flares by following proper diet and taking anti gout meds. Good,luck
