Mgt: The pain associated from fluid is caused by inflammation around the lung. If it is difficult to breathe or if you have high fever, it is important to seek Emergency medical care. In the meantime, if there is some mild pain with breathing in, a humidifier, keeping well hydrated and monitoring your temperature is advised. The flu can cause a number of respiratory problems eg bacterial pneumonia
