Pulsatile Tinnitus: It is hearing heart sounds in one ear or in both ears. Usually the cause is hardening of the arteries including the ones close the ears. Turbulance of blood inside of those arteries (arteriosclerotic) increase because of decreased elasticity of these arteries. High blood pressure make you hearing your heart beats louder. Keep bp and cholesterol under control so the whooshing does not get louder.
