You can not ..: ... voluntarily constrict or dilate your blood vessels. They do what they are supposed to do based on the physiologic demands of your circulation at the time. So when you contract your abdominal muscles, the contracting muscles might squeeze a smaller artery or vein a little bit, but there would be no significant effect on a large vessel like the aorta. Aorta: The aorta doesn't do a whole lot of constricting. You seem very consumed with the aorta. If you're worried about yours, see that your blood pressue is controlled, you don't smoke and your lipids are optimized. Get regular daily aerobic exercise for at least a half hour a day. After that get on with your life, you've done what you can.
