A 33-year-old male asked:
I am a man that has an abdominal aorta of 14 mm in diameter. is this too small ? checked with echo but do i need more tests? afraid it will burst....

Not too small: 10 to 20 mm is normal for adult aorta. The chance of rupture increases as it gets larger. So the chance of rupture of a small aorta is very small.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
