Keep in step.: Of course it could be a stress fracture, but I would more inclined to believe it has something to do with the beginnings of plantar fasciitis or a chronic low grade fasciitis. Treated a whole lot of ways, including but not limited to ice, heat, rest, stretching and inserts.
