Naltrexone: Naltrexone is an opioid antagonist. It has to be taken to be effective. It is an adjunct treatment - not a stand alone. Recommend that it be combined with 12 step programs and/or psychotherapy for treatment of severe opioid &/or alcohol use disorders. It can be very beneficial.
