A member asked:

My neurologist recommended low dose naltrexone (5 mg) prescribed for post covid syndrome / inflammation? whats are your thought? is it likely safe or potentially dangerous? could the body become dependent on it like a narcotic? could it help?

Naltrexone: The issues of whether or not it will be helpful for this purpose was addressed yesterday. This would be a very low dose of medication and presumably would be for a short period of time. As long as there are not any drug- drug interactions with other medications you take, it is not likely to cause significant harm.
