Sharp pain: There are several different causes. You can try taking TUMS, (calcium carbonate) PeptoBismol or another antacid to see if you get relief. If the pain increases and radiates to your back or right upper abdomen, you should be evaluated for possible gallbladder disease if you have not had gallbladder removed. Although this pain may be non-specific, reflux, gastritis, ulcer disease are all possible.
