Hi, i went to the doctor as my stomach is running and i have a sharp constant stitch pain for around 6-8cm under my rib cage. my doctor says it could be inflation and definitely gastro but he hasnt given anything for the inflammation. is that right?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

?gastroenteritis: If you're referring to the combination of diarrhea and upper abdominal discomfort, especially with nausea, a viral gastroenteritis may be present. If this is so, taking peptobismol, avoiding spicey, greasy foods and harsh roughage may help. Drinking flat ginger ale settles nausea. Note that peptobismol may cause blackish stools. Omeperazole controls acidic stomach distress. See MD again as needed.
