Depends on factors: Ketosis, when the body shifts from glucose 2 ketones as n energy source, depends on many factors like how much glc "reserve" was built up in the liver, & ur activities (energy in vs. energy out). A ketogenic diet, where 10-15% of cal r from carbs, takes anywhere from 3-14 days to deplete glucose stores. Genetic factors also play a role. Ketogenic diets r medically controversial except in epilepsy.
