Its possible: I have many patients on metformin and in ketosis and its sometimes fine but you must watch out for hypoglycemia. For example if on a regular diet you require metformin but then then go into ketosis (which will severely reduce your' blood sugar) if you keep taking the same dose of metformin you could become hypoglycemic and this needs to be monitored by your' doctor.
