Excellent: in general the is an excellent chance of saving the ovaries if we are dealing with a simple cyst. if the cyst is complex and might have solid component , then the risk and the suspicious of cancer increase. surgeon job is to save the ovaries as much as they can unless there is a risk of cancer then we have to balance between fertility and survivals,and survival always win.
