Palliative measures: Once a cancer has metastasized, chemotherapy regimens will not be able to save the patient ultimately. There is so so much that we don't know about cancers still, despite the advances made over the last 20 years.

Consider adding: Simonton's book called "Getting Well Again"to your treatment plan. Also look into proper diet. Books by Patrick Quillan, PhD focus on cancer and nutrition. Peace and good health.

Liver mets: A tough question. I presume you are seeing your doctor on a regular basis. It is time to make another visit, check the status of your liver, and then discuss options.

Newer treatments: Chemo was the original but no longer the definitive treatment for cancers. I disease in liver only then chemoembolization employed. With the addition of peritoneal involvement immunotherapy added with avastin (bevacizumab) to control blood supply, Erbitux for epidermal growth factor 1, addition of Checkpoint inhibitors and now the introduction of mAbs targeting immunogenic proteins expressed in the tumor.
