A member asked:

If a met in liver , node and sub pleural are they best ablating if chemo not responding ? the mets are small

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Treatment of mets: the ablation of these spots mainly helps improve the symptoms they cause .sometimes being small make it difficult to ablate..multiple spots also tell us there are other areas are affected but did not show up yet. finally ablation helps local control of the spot but usually has no effect on the overall survival.the will of fighting the cancer carries 50% of the cure.keep fighting
