Left ear is really sore a few days after i have cleaned it with a q-tip. why did this happen and how long will it take for it to not be sore anymore?

Q-tip Bad Tool for: ear canal because they are too big & push most the cerumen wax (& whatever else) further into the ear canal. Only the skin of the middle 1/3rd of the canal secretes much wax & it needs to drain along with whatever it traps. Washing shampoo into canals with each hair wash safest method to clean; next small smooth tool to scoop with low risk of pushing wax in. Given problem best seek physician help.
