Macrocytosis: Notorious causes for macrocytosis include chronic liver disease, prescribed drugs, vitamin B12 deficiency and daily alcohol intake. Bone marrow disease, including malignancies can also cause it. Your symptoms are worrisome and the bone marrow may be diagnostic.
