Look elsewhere: Sickle trait would not account for a hemoglobin of 6. There's another cause.

No: Sickle cell trait alone (without another hemoglobinopathy like a thalassemia) will not cause you to be anemic. Hopefully the reason you became so anemic is being closely examined so that you can possibly treat the underlying cause. I hope you feel better soon.
