Laparoscopic repair: Of the laparoscopic vs. open techniques of repair, the lap may have some advantages for a true Spigelian hernia. Find a surgeon with experience in lap repair of both ventral and inguinal hernias. Also, you can find a surgeon interested in hernia disease at the Americas Hernia Society website. Hope this helps!
