I'm a 55 yr. old female with diastasis recti/with hernias, seen a surgeon 3 years ago, says i was too high risk for surgery.what else can i do?hd/hbp/d2

Options: Since it has been 3 years since your last surgical evaluation, one option is to re-visit with your surgeon to see if things have changed or improved, or get another surgical opinion. Abdominal wall diastasis often does not respond to surgery unless extensive plastic surgery abdominal wall reconstruction and rectus muscle repositioning is used. Laparoscopic hernia surgery can be an option for some.
