Hernia: You can ask for a copy of the operative report from the hospital where the surgery was performed. That should I have the details. Good luck!

Obtain operative ...: Note. Your surgeon should be able to read his office records, either paper or electronic, and find out whether he used mesh or not in his operative note describing your particular procedure. If that is fruitless, request a copy of your operative note from the hospital or surgical center where you had your operation.
