Depends: Maybe you bit your tongue by accident? Maybe you drank really hot coco and burned that side of your tongue? Maybe you are about to get a canker sore? Early symptoms of HIV? I would go to the doctor if the symptoms persist or worsen. By the way, get screened for preventative health.
