Pregnant : These symptoms are likely related to straining from constipation causing hemorrhoidal bleeding. The mucus is also common. The metallic odor can be from blood in the stool or from something in the diet. This can be remedied by avoiding straining by increasing fiber, fluids and perhaps adding stool softeners. The regular use of enemas is not advised.

Rectal bleeding: If this is definitely rectal bleeding, it may relate to some kind of proctitis, or colitis with inflammation that can produce mucus secretions and bleeding. Any unusual symptoms during pregnancy should be checked out with your OB to detect treatable conditions that may affect the pregnancy.

Fissure: constipation is very common during pregnancy and if you are straining a lot and not eating a lot of fiber than it is common for women to get anal fissures where they experience bright red bleeding from their bottoms. If this is a one time experience for you, consider changing your diet and being on stool softeners. If associated with fevers or severe pain, see a doctor ASAP
