My baby has a blue tinted tongue? kind of sticking it out more than usual too

Other symptoms?: If your baby is otherwise well, this could normal, and may just be the venous blood that you are seeing through the baby's thin mucous membranes. If your baby is having any feeding difficulty, rapid breathing, blue skin elsewhere (called cyanosis), sweating with feedings, or poor growth, you should have her checked out as this can be a sign of congenital heart disease.
