A member asked:

I had a very severe migraine last night that had waken me up from my sleep. the thumb area of my left hand was slightly numb. could migraines cause it?

Maybe two issues: The hand may have been flexed at wrist, and the numbness could be due to carpal tunnel compression. Less likely is complex migraine event of this sort, so, you need to have your doctor investigate these two issues, and sort it out.
