Pharnygitis: While it certainly can take some time for infections to resolve..particularly if they begin viral and then develop a superimpose a bacterial variant on top of it....this does seem like a rather long time. It would be prudent to see your primary to ensure something more serious like a para-tonsilar abscess hasn't formed.
