B12 is fine, but...: Getting B12 will not cause a problem. It's best to avoid dietary or herbal supplements for reasons too complex to explain in 400 characters. Also avoid iodine in any form which can worsen hyperthyroidism. Since you have an endocrine problem, I suggest you discuss all dietary supplements and vitamins with your doc and endocrinologist before buying or taking them. Take only what is recommended.
