Prepare.: How tense you are depends on how thoroughly you have prepared for the exam. If you have not studied at all, and care about failing, then the tension will be pretty bad and nothing much will help. Also, too much caffeine and not eating properly, adds to the anxiety/stress. So prepare over weeks and months, not hours, so you can get a decent amount of sleep before the test, and eat lightly before

Tension: I can understand where you are coming from. I trained in Delhi. 1. Study your syllabus in advance. 2. Sleep well night before the exam 3. Eat your meal before exam 4. Believe- you are in same boat as everyone else and you have done your best for the day. 5. Don't make it a life and death situation as most Indians do. Take a deep breath. 6. NO MEDICATIONS PLEASE

Study before: If you know the material you will be more relaxed. Assuming that you know the material make sure you are well rested and fed for the exam. Wear your favorite comfortable clothes . Find music that relaxes you and listen to that prior to the exam. Personally I do some exercise which helps me. Good luck!
