Of course not...: Pelvic sonograms are commonly ordered to assess lower abdominal and pelvic discomfort. A simple pregnancy test will determine your likelihood of pregnancy, but I recommend you follow the advice of your physician who has interviewed and examined you, and knows you best.

There: are many possible indications for an ultrasound, including certain types of pain or possible mass. You don't need to be pregnant. Talk to your doc about it.
