Have not gotten period but on ultrasound one week earlier there were two large cysts present with a few very small follicles. ivf doctor asked me to come back on the 1st day of my period to look at the count. could it be possible that im pregnant?

If you had unprotected sexual intercourse and you have missed a period, then pregnancy is a possibility. You can do a home pregnancy test to see if you are pregnant. Conception occurs within day or so of the sex. It takes about 3 weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG for a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative repeat the test in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully.
