I have a sore hand from when i slipped a few days ago and it is swollen and so is my thumb and it is blue just wondering if it is broken or fractured and i cant bend my wrist?

I just hit my hand on something hard and immediately my thumb at the joint became slightly swollen and bruised. It's not hurting unless I mash on it. It is a little numb at the joint, but not bad. Is this most likely a sprain, fracture, or break?
