A 38-year-old male asked:

i have gallastones diagnosed after ultrasonography, having 4 to 6 mm in size, can they disolve or flush by taking ursodeoxycholic acid. cbd size is 5.2 mm. ?

How many: 1 or 2 is realistic but for alot to pass or dissolve is asking more of the medication than can usually occur. Of you have lots of gallstones then the gallbladder may not have been working well to start with and may continue to cause issues and more stones. I hope this finds you well.

Constipated: Your child suffers from chronic constipation. You need to be aggressive with management. He has to go daily , about 2 to 3 times per day.You can give him MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) or pedialax .They are available over the counter.Modify diet and drink plenty of liqjuids. Please see your pediatrician. You do not want child to suffer from fecal soiling nor get UTI urine infection!

Is there something they will give me for anxiety when i'm doing the ultrasound test?

Not necessary: An ultrasound is a painless exam. There should be no need for an anxiolytic medication. If you have a condition that will cause you to have undue anxiety for an ultrasound, you should discuss it with your physician so that proper measures can be taken, and medication prescribed in the rare event that it is needed.
