Usually bracing/time: Most compression fractures are treated with bracing for 6 to 8 weeks and pain. Follow the advice of your treating doctor.

Brace.: Compression fractures are common in the older, more osteoporotic patients. For younger patients, it can be associated with a significant fall. Usually it can be managed by a brace. But for some patients, with severe pain, cementing of the fractured bone (vertebroplasty) can have immediate pain relief. Ask your physician about the riskts.
