What is the treatment for small compression fracture of the spine?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Theresa Redling
33 years experience in Geriatrics
Conservative : Most osteoporotic compression fracture s will heal within 3 months. Treatment focuses on pain management and re building bone with calcium vitamin d and other medications. If pain persists after that amount of time there are other more to invasive approaches that can be tried to manage pain and disability.
