I have a broken pinky finger left hand dr says they have to rebreak in order to fix for me to be able to make a fist is this common practice?

FInger fracture: If the fracture is older than a week, then partial healing requires "breaking" the finger to re-align or reduce the fracture back to normal. The 5th finger is less critical to hand function, so you'll have to decide how perfect you want to be!
