Be seen: I would encourage you to be seen. While there are many possibilities that could represent minimal injuries, you may very well have ruptured one if the flexor tendons in your hand, which would require surgery to fix. When a flexor tendon injury occurs, patients have pain and swelling in the palm and are unable to make a fist like you are describing.

Get an X-Ray: See your PCM or go to an Urgent Care for an evaluation and X-ray. Your wrist is sprained and may be fractured. Ace wrap, elevation, and Ice the area while awaiting medical care - and do not drive! Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin will help with pain until your evaluation.
