A member asked:

18 month old son, scattered swollen lymphs, normal labs. waiting 4 ultrasound. hasnt been sick in months....shows no symptoms. what could this be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to say: Kids in this age group often have transient enlargement of their glands with a variety of illnesses, or after vaccines. They enlarge and then shrink over a 3-5 week interval. It deserves monitoring but with normal initial labs I wouldn't loose a lot of sleep over it.
