Should i avoid egg yolks to reduce cholesterol or is that a myth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: What is your cholesterol level? Are you overweight? One egg yolk a day not likely to do any harm if you are otherwise in good health and have normal serum lipids. Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco or alcohol in any form.
