A few ways: Make sure when you brush and floss, that you are also brushing your tongue. Sometimes the bacteria that cause bad breath can live within the little folds of your tongue. Bad breath can also be a sign of a more progressed form of gum disease. If you notice bleeding when you brush and floss or if it seems like your teeth are loose, see your dentist for an evaluation.
