A member asked:

Could an elevated granulocyte count indicate anything pertaining to my abdominal pain and nausea ruq and luq?possible to have pancreatitis w/o fever?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Elevated: white blood count usually means bacterial infection, but it could be from other causes too. If you have upper abdominal pain, it could be infection in gallbladder, colon, kidneys or other abdominal organ. It is possible to get pancreatitis without fever because it is usually an inflammatory condition caused by alcohol, gallstones, injury, medication, or elevated triglycerides in blood.
