Elevated: white blood count usually means bacterial infection, but it could be from other causes too. If you have upper abdominal pain, it could be infection in gallbladder, colon, kidneys or other abdominal organ. It is possible to get pancreatitis without fever because it is usually an inflammatory condition caused by alcohol, gallstones, injury, medication, or elevated triglycerides in blood.
