I had asthma attack due to flu while in hospital on tuesday and have been given steroids can't stop caughing since today help can't sleep what to do ?

Steroid insomnia: HIgh dose of steroid keeps people awake and you will likely sleep better as the dose is tapering down. However if you are still coughing, this may mean that either your asthma is still not well controlled or something else may be causing your cough. If necessary, I may prescribe a sleeping pill for a few days when the dose of steroid is high. (Steroid injection may linger on for a few days).
