Chronic Cough: A chronic cough lasts longer than 8 weeks (adults) /4 weeks (kids). Common causes include asthma, allergies, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), or bronchitis. It can also be caused by post nasal drip, blood pressure meds, bronchiectasis or heart disease. Follow up with Dr who prescribed the meds and explain that the cough is not getting better. They will do more testing/ adjust meds/add new.
