Chronic Muscle Spasm: Pelvic pain w. lying & sitting would implicate ligaments; as ground forces torque pelvic girdle. Muscles lose tone & mass secondary to disuse & chronic deconditioning. Pelvic discomfort w. standing implicates major muscle of postural support: transversus abdominis, ST, which "form closes" & stabilizes sacroiliac joints. Chronic ST muscle spasm/discomfort refers to mid-pelvis. Osteopath evaluation?
