Scared = normal: Of course it's scary. But you can get through it and perhaps he'd prescribe something to calm you while you await results. Don't jump to a cancer DX in your mind. There are other possibilities i.e., non-malignant cysts and other palpable things. Even your constipation may be involved. Whatever it is - it is good to get an accurate DX & start treatment. Please try not to: Worry too much. There are many reasons why you might have pain including ovarian cysts. Please complete the workup with the ultrasound examination.
