Not sure/depends,,,: It'd likely depend on how long you've been HIV pos., and if you've had infections, etc. for a while. The risk for symptoms and issues of HIV/AIDS like PCP are higher if the T cell count is under 200, but it doesn't mean it's not there if the count is higher. If you've got fever, cough, and night sweats, it likely means something is there but it can be there anyway, just not as likely. Good luck

Comments: Polyneuropathy secondary to HIV is truly very common. If your new PCP is not effectively interacting with you, find a different doctor, with whom you are more comfortable.
