I recently had an abnormal EMG showing MODERATELY SEVERE, CHRONIC L5 POLYRADICULPATHIES BILATERALLY; but normal NCS after suffering L4-5 & L5-S1 disc herniations almost 4 years ago. Why would the EMG be abnormal, but NCS be normal?
Low back + distal lt. leg pain. MRI negative but EMG/NCS says pinched nerves L4-L5 and S1. What can cause this?
