I sleep on my side and don't change position much. i wake to find pain in my inner ear. if i switch sides it happens in other ear. why? i'm 51 female.

Tmj: I suspect TMJ (jaw joint). Especially if you clench/grind night or day Other TMJ symptoms included pain or limited opening, joint noises. If this is you, see a TMJ expert Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
