Should be normal: I see you live in dallas. Get appointment with ms clinic at sw medical center, and hopefully your friend can get on a potent medication to control an aggressive course. Research supports normal lifespan outcomes in ms pts who have been treated consistently and with effective agents. Drugs like Avonex (interferon beta 1a) and Copaxone are unlikely to do the job.
